Key Visual Element

One key visual element that I will include as a form of synergy will be the black, white and gold colour scheme.

• Our artist, 'Ishy' is expressing his appreciation for his new found success and I feel that gold is the best colour to portray this.
•  Gold connotes luxury and success which is what the video will convey.
• Due to the album being entitled 'Victory' I think that this will be the best colour to represent this as even in sports gold is considered the number one prize.

• Black is a colour often used in hip hop videos to add to the dark setting
• The dark settings often represent the struggling side of the artist
• The darkness in hip hop videos also links to the explicit content.

• White represents purity or something sophisticated
• This is why we will be filming in clean sophisticated locations
• White can also link to something fresh or new which relates to our artist 'Ishy' as he is a new artist signed by a major label.

Why this combination of colours?

Due to black being a common colour in hip hop releases I feel that by incorporating the white text over a dark image, the white will stand out and make the title of the album/artist name clear. This is important as Ishy is a new artist and increasing awareness is key. The gold will stand out and catch peoples eye and is a good contrast to the white text.

 

The colour scheme will also feature in the album cover and promotional pack as seen in the examples below:

For DJ Khaled's album 'Suffering From Success' the black white and gold colour scheme was very effective and eye catching. The theme of his album is success which is very similar to 'Ishy's' album entitled 'Victory' which is about his new found success in being a commercial artist.
