From the blogging progress feedback I got from Rebecca, she suggested that I got some more audience feedback from the rough cut. Although our class was our main target audience, I decided to ask some individuals for feedback who are also our main target audience.
I decided to find some friends on Whatsapp and ask them to give me feedback on our rough cut.
I directed them with a link to our blog where they could view our rough cut

Emma said that she liked the contrast between the two base shots, she thinks that it was very effective.
She also liked how confident the main artist looked during his performance
And finally, she thought the contrast between night and day was effective and worked as the song slowed down.
She did not like how the featuring artist's face went darker as the focus on the camera changed to the sun. I would say we cannot fix this issue but it is not a massive problem as the artist is actually featuring and the song is also based on the sun so it can work in some ways.
She also thought the featuring artist did not lip sync as well as the main artist but once again, he is just a feature and it more important to make sure that the main artist's performance is good.

Juned said that he also liked the lip syncing for the main artist and it seemed like it was his own voice. He liked the base shots as they suited the lyrics of the song.
Just like Emma, he also did not like the way the sun was the main focus and you cannot see the featuring artist but he did realise that he was a featuring artist so it was kind of acceptable. Also, he identified how we over used close ups and said we needed more of a variety of shots. And finally, the lip syncing of the featuring artist was not as good as the main artist but again it is fortunate that the main artist did well because we are trying to promote his album and not the featuring artist.
