I enjoyed being the camera person
The main bits that was filmed by me is when our artist 'ISHY' is at the City Basin Canal, I managed to capture every movement and have every word of the song on camera perfectly dispite the harsh windy weathers and numb fingers from the cold!
Using the frigrid, I made slow and sutle movements with the camera whilst ISHY was performing, I found it easy to have control and follow the movements of the artist from different angles and different types of shots
A difficulty I did find however was when we was doing the close up shooting of our artist rapping I found it harder to keep the head in the frame without it being cut off from a distance, to resolve the issue our artist felt comfortable with me being directly close to him with the camera, this made it much more easier for me to record him and hear his voice clearly so when it came to editing it would be easy to match it upto the beat
Another place where I was recording the artist was on the busy streets of regents, having lots of public around us made it quite difficult to record as people kept coming in front of the camera, but I managed to get some good footage of our artist walking past a gold colour shop with maniquns to mattch the lyrics of the song, I also recorded some bits of the london eye footage of our artists.
I believe I have good control over the camera and I know how to operate it better from experience, so from now on everytime I do record/film something I will be able to get it from good angles! -
