THE FRONT:
For the front I went for a minimal feel with a close up of the artist with his head tilted up, looking into a line of flashing lights. The lights represent success which is emphasised by having them reflect in his sunglasses. The purpose of using a close up was because it's a new artist that not many people will be familiar with so I had to ensure I used a close up as this is his debut release which will help him gain recognition. The photo is slightly faded against a grey background which makes it more visually appealing as the light shining on his face is enhanced, whilst still linking to the conventions of the hiphop/rap genre due to the use of key accessories i.e sunglasses. The font I used was slant which is a unique, bold font that clearly emphasises the artists' name. Furthermore, the fact that it isn't the same colour as the album title makes the image more exciting rather than just having one solid colour throughout. I also included parental advisory logo, which is included on many albums of this genre, due to the explicit lyrics that may be on the album.
THE BACK:
I stuck with the same font as the front cover so that I don't confuse the audience making it simpler to read as it is more presentable. I also stuck to the white and gold colour scheme which I feel is a good idea as we don't want to overcomplicate the album. I ensured that the barcode is at the bottom as well as the record label logo which is important for digipak's so that the album can be scanned in stores and also giving credit to the copyright holders. In addition to this, I wrote some copyright information at the bottom which is vital as it includes the year it was copyrighted and released. The artist website is also included at the bottom.
SPINE:
For the spine I included the artist name and the album title as well as the USP number.
Hello Ismail. The mock-up of the digipak is looking fantastic but I can't find the pitch or the mock-up of the advert.....
