Filming - Day 1
In the first day of filming, we went to south bank during sunset and piccadilly circus. The purpose of going to Southbank during sunset was to capture the sun setting beside the london eye for the chorus to lync with the lyric about the sun. Furthermore, we went to piccadilly circus to film extra shots of 'ISHY' walking around well lit, decorated buildings in order to portray his success as he is getting used to his new environment.
We decided to film in picadilly circus where we could get good footage to put on top of the base track and cut to when ISHY is referencing his successful life. The reason we chose this particular building at picadilly circus as a good location for referencing his successful life was because of the unique design of the mirrors, the blue shining walls as well as striped walkway. ISHY is new to seeing architecture such as this as he was previously in a rough neighbourhood where everything was abandoned.
We filmed near the London Eye at south bank during sunset for the chorus of our song, which is entitled 'Children of the Sun' so we felt we should incorporate sunset into our video. Furhtermore, the gentle sunset mirrors the effect of the melodic power pop that is going at a slow pace in comparison to the rap verses.
