Editing:

In todays lesson we edited our footage in Final Cut Pro. We began by placing markers on the track after every time it changes from chorus to verse. The purpose of this was to make it easier for us to edit between the slow chorus and the speedy verses in terms of cutting between clips.
We then placed markers on the timeline after every beat. There are a few markers to begin with but as the song speeds up the amount of markers increases. This is useful as we can have a different shot after every beat to match the conventions of rap videos where they have fast cuts due to the fast tempo beats.
Finally, we selected clips after importing them into Final Cut Pro. We first ensured we put a marker on the clip when the performers said a certain word, usually the first word they say. This enabled us to simply match it up with the marker on the timeline and it was in sync.
