Planning for Ancillary Products - Looking at Fonts

I learnt that there are two types of fonts:
Sans Serif - Informal font (No tops and no bottoms)
Serif - Formal font (Tops and Bottoms)

I want to use the a 'Sans Serif' font because I think that because it is in the rap genre, it is already informal and mainly targets a younger audience. I think that this would be more effective rather than using a formal font.

I used a site called DaFont which has a huge selection of fonts to choose from.  Below are some of the fonts I liked for my DigiPak and Advertisement

For the artist name, I wanted to choose a font that was bold and simple. This is very conventional in the RAP genre because fonts tend to be simple but effective. I want the artist name font to be much larger than the album name because it is promoting a new artist.

For the Artist name, I would like to use the font 'Steiner'. I think it is bold but still has a bit of dimension to it with the thin gaps in the letters. I want this to be in white because I think that Gold would be too much colour and would ruin the class of the digipak. I think it would be more effective using a pop of gold in the album name which will be smaller and thinner.

For the Album name I decided to go for a font which would go with the artist name. I think V-Dub compliments Steiner well and I also like the fact that it is not bold because it puts emphasis on the artist's name which is exactly what i wanted.  I want the album name to also be a lot smaller than the artist's name. I also want it to be in gold as it would follow the colour scheme of my ancillary work.
